YouTube has surpassed Spotify and Apple Podcasts as the top destination for podcast listening in the US, serving over a billion listeners monthly. The platform's advantage stems from its ease of use—simple queuing controls, mobile-friendly features, and the ability to discover podcasts alongside video content. Podcast viewing on YouTube's TV app climbed 75 percent year-over-year to 700 million hours in October 2025.
