NASA's New Telescope Will Map the Universe's Empty Spaces

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will detect vast empty regions in space, called cosmic voids, that current telescopes cannot see. When launched, it will map structures 20 million light-years across—far smaller than what ground-based surveys can now resolve. This precision will help scientists understand how the universe expands and how matter clumps together across nearly all of space.
