U.S. Steps Back From Global Migration Tracking

The United States has refused to join a United Nations program for sharing migration data that nearly every other country participates in. That matters because the U.S. hosts millions of migrants, and without American numbers, countries around the world are trying to understand migration patterns with incomplete information, making policy decisions partly blind.
