Google DeepMind has released CodeMender, an AI system that finds security weaknesses in software code and automatically generates fixes. It then tests those fixes to ensure they work correctly and don't break other parts of the program. Teams can use it to patch known problems or scan code before it goes live, significantly reducing the time code is at risk.
