Google Redesigns Maps with AI-Generated Worlds and Smarter Navigation

Google is weaving generative AI—the technology that creates text and images from descriptions—into its Maps service. Project Genie lets subscribers transform real locations into imaginary worlds populated by AI-generated characters.
