Computer Programs Are Stealing Campsites From the Public

Recreation.gov, the website managing campground reservations for U.S. national parks, is being flooded with automated computer programs that grab prime camping spots within seconds of release. These programs then resell the spots for profit. The problem echoes earlier ticket-buying booms online—putting everything in one digital place can make unfair access worse, not better.
