NPR and Columbia Turned a Podcast Into a Health Study With 20,000 Listeners

NPR and Columbia University launched a six-part podcast series in October 2023 about how technology affects our health. More than 20,000 people joined the research study. Six out of every ten who started finished it—a remarkably high completion rate for remote studies. The partnership shows how podcasts can recruit and keep people engaged in research at a large scale.
