Colorado wants your phone to verify your age for apps

Colorado Senate Bill SB26-051 would require phone makers to collect your age during account setup and share that information with apps, replacing each app's separate verification system. Phone makers would be prohibited from using this age data for other purposes. The proposal has advanced through committee hearings with mixed responses and could become a model for other states.
