Facebook and Instagram Failed to Stop Over 450 Illegal Drug Ads

Researchers found more than 450 advertisements on Facebook and Instagram selling illegal drugs including opioids, cocaine, and ecstasy. These ads slipped past both Meta's automated filters and human reviewers, despite company policies explicitly banning drug sales. Meta acknowledged the problem and said it removes such content when found.
