A Hidden Story by Alan Turing Changes How We See Him

Cambridge professor Sarah Dillon has transcribed "Pryce's Buoy," a six-page unfinished story Alan Turing wrote around 1952–53 after his conviction for being gay. She says the main character — a scientist — is Turing writing himself into fiction: "playful, funny, cheeky, literary," and openly sexual. She calls the 2014 film The Imitation Game a historically inaccurate "Hollywood lone hero" story.
