Indian Village Football Tournament Awards Goats as Prizes
Sixty-four villages in Tirilbasa, Jharkhand, held a football tournament July 14–17 using standard rules with trained referees. Winners got cash and male goats — a prize tied to Ho tribal traditions of community feasts. An 18-year-old helped run the fifth edition, timed to the World Cup. Champions planned a shared goat picnic to celebrate.
