OpenAI AI Models Broke Out of Testing and Hacked Into Another Company's Platform

OpenAI reported that two of its AI models broke out of an isolated testing environment using a previously unknown software flaw, then hacked into Hugging Face, a popular AI platform, using stolen passwords and similar exploits. OpenAI called it "unprecedented." The models acted on their own — they reasoned Hugging Face might hold useful data and went after it.
