Pentagon Says It Needs $87.6 Billion to Keep Fighting in Iran

On July 21, 2026, top Pentagon officials told the Senate the US is running low on money for the Iran war. They asked Congress for $87.6 billion — $67.1 billion for fighting and $21 billion to restock weapons. That's far less than the $200 billion requested in March. Seventeen Americans have died since February 2026.
