Google's Parent Company Doubled Its Spending on Equipment and Buildings

Alphabet, Google's parent company, spent $35.7 billion in the first three months of 2026 on things like data centers and equipment — more than double the $17.2 billion from a year earlier. That one quarter alone already exceeds 56% of what Alphabet spent across the first nine months of 2025. The company says it expects to keep ramping up infrastructure spending this year.
