Indian Protest Group Stops Marches After Police Hurt 150 People

A youth-led group called the Cockroach Janta Party stopped its marches in New Delhi on July 21, 2026, after police fired tear gas and hit protesters with clubs the day before, wounding at least 150. Founder Abhijeet Dipke said he feared more youth would be hurt. They want Education Minister Pradhan to quit over a leaked exam paper affecting 2.2 million students.
