Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," released July 17, 2026, is the first movie filmed entirely on 70mm IMAX film — a very large, high-resolution film format. The production used two million feet of film, roughly 100 hours of footage, across global locations, with new IMAX film technology created for the project.
