Haigh returns to top government — without pay

Louise Haigh quit as Transport Secretary in November 2024 after an old conviction for a false police report came to light. Now Prime Minister Andy Burnham has given her three senior government jobs. The BBC says she is at the heart of his team. She will not be paid — unusual in modern British government.
