X Rebuilds Its Android App to Support More Services

X completely rebuilt its Android phone app from scratch, releasing it on July 20, 2026, after nearly a year of work. Product lead Nikita Bier called it one of the company's biggest projects. The new app is designed as a base for other X services: X Money and X Chat already exist as separate apps, with a video editor, cashtags, and custom timelines planned next.
