Vote set on bill to stop lawmakers from trading stocks

A bill that would stop members of Congress from buying and selling individual stocks is set for a House vote the week of July 20, 2026, Politico and The Hill reported. Similar bills have come up for years without a vote. Speaker Mike Johnson wants to pass it before the House leaves for August recess, NPR reported.
