Japan and Nvidia Team Up on a $6.2 Billion AI Project

Japan's government pledged up to $6.2 billion over five years for Noetra, a homegrown AI computing project announced during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's July 15–16 Tokyo visit. About 44 Japanese companies including SoftBank, Sony, NEC, and Honda joined. Nvidia will build a large data center opening in 2028, using 27,500 specialized chips and drawing 140 megawatts of power.
