Apple Changes How It Checks Education Discounts

Apple stopped using a third-party system to verify that students and teachers qualify for its education discount. Instead, it now limits how many devices any one person can buy at the discounted price. The change makes it easier for eligible buyers to get around 10 percent off computers and tablets, while still discouraging fraud through simple purchase limits.
