AI Chip Shortage Expected to Last Until 2031, Says Equipment Maker ASML

ASML, the company that makes the specialized machines required to manufacture advanced computer chips, says the shortage of AI chips will persist for two to five years. Demand from tech giants building artificial intelligence systems has grown so fast that even ASML cannot produce enough machines to meet factory needs.
