U.S. Plans to Show an Execution Live for First Time in Almost 100 Years

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth wants to show live video of the government putting Nidal Hasan to death by firing squad, where shooters fire at him. Hasan was found guilty of killing 13 people at the Fort Hood Army base in 2009. The U.S. stopped public executions in the 1930s. Today, only Iran and Afghanistan regularly do them in public.
