Tottenham bottom on two points after £300m summer rebuild

Tottenham spent £300m in summer 2026 on a rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi, per The Guardian's 9 October preview. They sit bottom of the Premier League on two points ahead of Saturday 10 October's trip to Manchester United at Old Trafford. I find it hard to recall a pricier start turning this sour this fast.
