Maddinson out for 33-ball duck opening in Durban Test

Nic Maddinson opened for Australia on day one of the first Test against South Africa in Durban and fell for a 33-ball duck. Marco Jansen bowled him at 24 for 2. Maddinson had not played first-class cricket — the multi-day domestic game — since March 2025. He earlier survived a pad appeal when South Africa chose not to review.
