India Says It Is Not Blocking Musk's Internet Service

India's Communications Ministry on Oct. 8, 2026 denied Elon Musk's claim that 'certain oligarchs,' or very rich businessmen, are blocking Starlink, his internet-from-space service, calling it 'baseless and misconceived.' Musk had called the delay a 'crime against the people of India.' The ministry said three companies face the same safety reviews. Starlink has waited for permission since 2022.
