India rejects Musk claim oligarchs are blocking Starlink

India's Communications Ministry on Oct. 8, 2026 rejected Elon Musk's claim that "certain oligarchs" are blocking Starlink, calling the suggestion unfair "baseless and misconceived". Musk called the block a "crime against the people of India". Ministry says three operators face same security checks. Starlink awaits licences since 2022.
