Amazon has announced a $249 Ring Smart Lock due in the US in early 2027, pending approval from the FCC, the US regulator. The inside knob works like a wind-up flashlight. Amazon says turning it a few times creates enough power to open the door and fully recharge the dead Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack.
