Amazon's Ring Smart Lock Generates Emergency Power by Turning Dial

Amazon has announced the Ring Smart Lock with an emergency charger integrated into its interior thumb-turn dial. The company claims turning the dial a few times generates enough power to unlock the door and fully recharge its dead Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack. The $249 lock is expected in the US in early 2027, pending FCC approval.
