
France pays a lot more than Germany to borrow, most since 2011
On Oct. 2, France had to offer about 1.59 percentage points extra interest compared with Germany to borrow for 10 years, the Wall Street Journal reported. That gap — 158.67 hundredths of a point — is the largest since November 2011. Lenders want more pay because they worry about France's heavy borrowing.
