France pays 1.59 points more than Germany to borrow, widest since 2011

French 10-year yields sat 158.67 basis points above German yields on Oct. 2, the widest gap since November 2011, the Wall Street Journal reported. A basis point is 0.01 percentage point, so France must pay about 1.59 points extra to borrow amid concern over its debts.
