French-German 10-year yield gap hits 158.67 basis points, widest since 2011
French 10-year yields traded 158.67 basis points above German yields on Oct. 2, the widest gap since November 2011, the Wall Street Journal reported. A basis point is 0.01 percentage point, so investors demanded about 1.59 points extra to hold French debt amid concern over France's indebtedness.
