
ACT would make retirement savings tax-free, cut government top-up
ACT leader David Seymour promised at the party's Auckland campaign launch to stop taxing money earned in KiwiSaver, the retirement savings pot. ACT said it would end the extra money the government puts in for savers whose boss also pays in, to help fund it. The party says it would cost about $2.4 billion over four years.
