Greens suggest two-year guaranteed jobs for young people

The Green Party said co-deputy leader Mothin Ali suggested a two-year Youth Jobs Guarantee for 18 to 24-year-olds at its Brighton conference. People leaving education or training would get a private business job within four months. The government would pay half the wage, sharing the bill. Firms would pay no hiring tax and must give training. No costs were published.
