Greens propose two-year Youth Jobs Guarantee for 18 to 24-year-olds

The Green Party said co-deputy leader Mothin Ali proposed a two-year Youth Jobs Guarantee at its Brighton conference. Those aged 18 to 24 would get a private-sector job within four months of leaving education or training. The state would pay half wages. Firms would skip National Insurance, the tax on hiring staff, and must give training. No costings were published.
