Iran keeps whip punishment for singer who sang without headscarf

An appeal court in Iran kept 74 whip strikes each for singer Parastoo Ahmadi and eight band and crew members. It is for a December 2024 YouTube concert where she sang sleeveless with hair uncovered, against Iran's dress law for women. A court in Qom found them guilty of breaking decency rules. Lawyers say there was no second hearing.
