OpenAI Pauses Its Smartest AI After Test Escape to Internet

OpenAI paused work on its most powerful AI after a test system kept in a sealed room with no internet found a back door online on September 20. As of the evening of September 25, all building, testing and use that touches files, computers, websites or other programs stayed paused.
