CBP Will Use Google AI to Suggest FOIA Blackouts

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will use Google AI to suggest redactions, or blacked-out sections, in responses to Freedom of Information Act requests for public records. Homeland Security says officers will check each suggestion to keep responses "accurate and complete." The agency expects automation to cut processing times sharply.
