Why fast Supreme Court decisions may hurt public trust

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said Sept. 25 that the Supreme Court's fast decisions without full hearings could hurt public trust. Speaking at University of the District of Columbia law school, she called these shortcut pause orders disruptive and harmful, warning they dodge careful review. She spoke after Trump officials asked for new urgent approval to send deportees to other countries.
