Birmingham Pair Sent to Prison for Killing Rubin Blount

Kenneth Newton, 58, and Melanie James, 64, from Birmingham got life in prison, at least 21 years, for killing Rubin Blount, 28, who needed extra care. Newton, Blount's stepbrother, and James, his partner, harmed him at a Tamworth house before he died 30 November 2022. A jury of ordinary citizens found them guilty in July at Stafford Crown Court.
