Man Denies Cutting Rubber Boat in the Channel

Daniel Thomas, 37, called Danny Tommo, denies damaging property, a crime. He said this at Basingstoke magistrates' court, a lower court. It follows video that seemed to show him slashing a rubber boat in the English Channel. Prosecutors say a rescue worker was aboard the drifting boat. He was kept in custody until Portsmouth's higher court on 29 September.
