YouTube Fans Can Now Pay to Spotlight Favorite Videos

Fans can buy digital tokens called Jewels to promote videos beyond three free boosts per week, YouTube said at its Made on YouTube event. Paying fans get their name permanently shown under the video. Viewers have promoted 75 million different videos over 1 billion times.
