YouTube Will Let Fans Buy Jewels to Hype Videos for Permanent Credit

YouTube announced at its Made on YouTube event that fans will be able to buy Jewels virtual currency to hype videos beyond the previous free limit of three hypes per week. Paid supporters will have handles permanently added to the video description. YouTube said viewers have hyped 75 million unique videos over 1 billion times.
