Apple says new photo texture tools need its newest phones

Apple says its texture and grain dials, part of Photographic Styles like preset filters, only work on photos taken with iPhone 18 Pro models or the Ultra Wide, Main, and Center Stage cameras on iPhone Duo. Updated wording reported Sept. 22 narrows Apple's Sept. 11 statement, which had promised wider support on iOS 27 phones.
