Qatar Leader Says Gulf in Danger Over Iran War

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani told the U.N. General Assembly in New York on Sept. 22, 2026, that the Gulf faces 'one of the most dangerous phases' from what he called a US-Israeli war on Iran. He blamed years of delayed talks and said Qatar can act as a trusted go-between to help reach a peace deal.
