Welfare payments for jobseekers and sole parents may have been wrongly cut off

The Ministry of Social Development, the welfare agency, says people on jobseeker and sole-parent payments may also have had money wrongly cut off because paperwork took too long. It has not said how many were affected, how long payments stopped, or what is owed. It said its check of 51,000 files did not include those groups.
