Otto Jelinek: A refugee who became a skating champion, politician and diplomat, dies at 86

Otto Jelinek has died at 86 after living with Parkinson's disease for nearly 20 years. He fled communist Czechoslovakia as a boy in 1948, became a world champion figure skater with his sister Maria for Canada, served as an MP and federal minister under Brian Mulroney, and later returned to Prague as Canada's ambassador to the Czech Republic.
