Otto Jelinek, former skating champion and cabinet minister, dies at 86

Otto Jelinek has died at 86 after living with Parkinson's disease for nearly 20 years. He fled communist Czechoslovakia as a boy in 1948, became a world champion pairs skater with his sister Maria, served as a Progressive Conservative MP for Oakville for two decades, was revenue minister under Brian Mulroney, and later returned to Prague as Canada's ambassador to the Czech Republic.
