Green Party deputy leader owns rental homes despite party wanting to scrap landlords

The BBC confirmed Green Party deputy leader Mothin Ali runs a company owning two rented-out homes in Leeds, bought in 2022 and 2025. His party, which covers England and Wales, voted in October 2025 to 'abolish landlords'. The party said Ali manages the homes for vulnerable relatives and makes no money from them.
