House Votes to Block Student Aid at Universities That Boycott Israel

The House voted 237-169 on September 3, 2026, to cut federal student aid from universities that boycott Israel. Thirty-three Democrats joined nearly all Republicans. Universities would also need to confirm yearly they do not block Israel-linked exchange programs. The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
